I don't hear any identifiable bassline that Phil plays, but at 5:50 the whole band changes to an F chord (the jam is in A minor) and move back and forth between F and Am for the rest of the jam before the drums solo. They were doing that in Let it Grow in 76, but I don't think any other year -- I don't know if they do in every version, but they do it in a lot of them.

Since I can't reply to the original post for whatever the reason, I'll reply to this one.
I think I hear what you mean, to me it sounds a bit like the basic gist of "Moving On", but that line is common to several other tunes too. Bottom line, it is reminiscent of something other than LIG while still being LIG.
Thus ends my nonsense for today. Closing in on 100, too hot to do anything but smile, smile, smile.
